ISLAMABAD, Aug 07 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the
hearing of a petition related to Bushra Bibi, the former first lady of Pakistan, until August 12. The petition seeks
information about cases registered against Bushra Bibi in connection with the May 9 incidents.
During the
hearing, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq was
informed by SSP Operations Rawalpindi that Bushra Bibi had not been arrested in the May 9 cases. How
ever, a bail application was recently submitted in the anti-terrorism court, and since the judge was on leave, the sessions court granted bail.
Sardar Latif Khosa, counsel for the petition,
informed the court that Bushra Bibi’s arrest was actually made in connection to a case in Attock. After
hearing the arguments of the parties, the court adjourned further
hearing on the application till August 12.
